Co-founded MusIT and introduced Musicator to the world, selling the music software to both Chinese and US Universities, in addition to organizations like US Army Bands. (2000-2005)

Gisle founded Grieg Music Education in 2005, and developed the music software Music Delta, the only music education program integrated in the ItsLearning education platform and the most popular software in the US education platform Music First. Celebrated on "The World Finance 100 List" in 2013, presenting the 100 new Business elite of the year. (2005-2015)​​​

​Gisle developed, together with Yrjan Tangenes, the first multitrack audio player for mobile devices in 2012. This player allowed users to remix a song on their mobile device.
In 2015 Gisle founded a new company called OIID and started working with international record labels to present original music in STEM-format on the OIID platform. Gisle left the OIID company in 2019.

​Co-founded Bergen Live, Norway’s largest concert promoter, launching with a Rolling Stones concert in Norway (2006), and exiting with a Live Nation buyout in 2019.
