The Soul of Music
The SoundPlay Foundation
"Preserving traditions. Connecting cultures."
Gisle established the SoundPlay Foundation in 2018.
In collaboration with UNESCO, the SoundPlay Foundation works with musicians around the world to preserve and share traditional music. We transform these recordings into interactive iTO multitrack files, giving students and young creators the chance to explore, mix, and play inside authentic musical traditions.

With iTO, anyone can isolate instruments, understand cultural styles, and even record themselves directly into the music — or collaborate with peers from other countries.

Our mission is simple:
-to help the next generation discover global musical heritage and connect across cultures through creativity, curiosity, and the universal language of music.
Music from the World
Our foundation is collecting and recording traditional music from all over the world, to preserve and present as Interactive Music.
